Now, there is a growing interest among people to engage in OFSP farming, as they have seen significant profits from the yield”, Isaiah added. […]

Comment on From Small-Scale Struggles to Groundnut Success: Elizabeth Sialo’s Inspiring Journey by Daniel Onyango https://africaharvest.org/blog/from-small-scale-struggles-to-groundnut-success-elizabeth-sialos-inspiring-journey/#comment-1577 Sat, 07 Sep 2024 04:37:16 +0000 https://africaharvest.org/?p=5408#comment-1577 The story of Elizabeth Sialo is encouraging. Such farmers need support in skills training and financial backing.

Farmers in Siaya also diversification in farming practice. For instance crop husbandry practice can also be supplimented with fish pond farming. The demand for fish in the region is very high, and therefore, a farmer can grow cash crops and also keep fish in cages. Locally kept free range chicken can provide fish food through their droppings.

I further went to seach AH website and as a youth I am motivated from the article by Yvonne Mwende the communications manager.
I am a graduate of 2015 but due to unemployment, I have started small scale farming as a means of securing an income.
I will appreciate benefiting from your mentorship and support.
